‘Standard’ side effects
Before you continue reading, we have an important message for you: we’re going to challenge your ideas. With the best intentions, of course. At the end of the day we love standard (Odoo). And with good reason: the closer you stick to standard functionality, the more you will benefit from it in the short and in the long term. Think of lower start-up costs, less complexity and easier migration to new versions of Odoo. We know this from experience.
When we challenge you, because we believe things could be done differently and better, we’re asking you to listen. Even if it's not exactly how you’d pictured it. We do this because we care about your company and want you to keep reaping the benefits of the solution we create.
A good start
Project approach
We like to have a phased and pragmatic approach. Every phase contains one or more Odoo applications that automate one or more company processes.
This approach divides the implementation pressure on your organisation and makes sure we can pay more attention to the individual design of the applications. It also allows us to gradually gain insight into the processes and apply them directly in the next phases. This way, you quickly benefit from Odoo’s features, and the end result is even better.
Start: projectplan & architecture
Most projects start with designing the ERP landscape and the processes. We look at the requirements for your company, the existing or future tech stack and a best of breed structure. We also describe the outlines of the solution and define the project phases with a focus on lead time and budget.
The architecture is connected to a project plan. In this plan we map out the project without going into the exact details of the implementation. To make the project plan complete, we include the budget and a timeline for the first phase.
